Valerie Kaelin, LSW
Personal Experience & Biography
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work and Family Science. My mission is to guide and support you in making the changes that feel right for you, empowering you to live the life you truly want.
I am passionate about working with individuals navigating trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, and involvement in the criminal justice system. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and parts-based work to help clients process painful experiences, reduce emotional overwhelm, and build lasting internal stability.
I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood while we work together toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Outside of work, I enjoy winding down with peaceful walks and spending time with my beloved Yorkshire Terrier.
I especially enjoy supporting adults who feel stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by stress, or ready to heal from past trauma.
