Personal Experience & Biography

I am a Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). I have worked in the field of addiction recovery for several years. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling and Personnel Services with an emphasis in Art Therapy from the University of Louisville in 2016 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Lindenwood University in 2014. My experience includes art therapy and counseling at Hosparus Health Grief Counseling Center, The Brook Hospital KMI, Our Lady of Peace, and Landmark Recovery.

I strive to provide a warm, person-centered, strength-based approach. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based techniques in my therapeutic methods. I also specialize in art therapy. Currently, I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and Brainspotting.

In my personal life, my own struggles of grief, loss, and PTSD have allowed me to empathize with my clients. Art, therapy, and exercise became a way to navigate complicated feelings. With my professional and personal experiences, I hope to provide a nurturing atmosphere.
